Dice City: card list and location values

Dice City is a decent game among recent dice games. The rule is easy to learn, the card types are not too many, the rulebook was written clearly, and it looks fun!

Here is a list of cards to play Dice City. (Rule of Dice City is described on another page.)

Types of Locations

Dice are placed on locations with own abilities. Initially, each personal board has defined locations with basic abilities, and players improve locations by placing location cards.

There are 5 types of locations.

Resource (GREEN color with saw icon)

By activating Resource locations, players can take specified resources without paying costs.

Military (RED color with helmet icon)

Most Military locations give players army strengths. Some cards will add a strength to other cards or will let players obtain another Military location card.

Economic (YELLOW color with coin icon)

Economic locations will allow players to exchange resources.

Cultural (PURPLE color with pen icon)

Cultural locations grant victory points to players, with or without payments.

Civic (BLUE color with bell icon)

Civic locations let players perform special actions.

Card types

Values of locations

Values of locations on the board are not the same if you would use a die from another row.

Without allowing die-relocation mechanism, possibilities to activate each location are equal. For rows without any reroll ability, possibilities are 1 / 6 (=16.6%), and with 1 reroll ability 1/5 (=20.0%).

Dice City board possibilities

Without a re-roll abilities, positions <3> and <4> can be activated for sure if you do not mind to sacrifice 3 other dice.

sacrifice <1> <2> <3> <4> <5> <6>
none 16.6% 16.6% 16.6% 16.6% 16.6% 16.6%
1 die 33.3% 50% 50% 50% 50% 33.3%
2 dice 50% 66.6% 83.3% 83.3% 66.6% 50%
3 dice 66.6% 83.3% 100% 100% 83.3% 66.6%

So, you may want to place "good" cards in the center colomns.
